"It's all for You."

"To bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes" Isaiah 61:3

Joy Unspeakable

After this morning’s sermon at First Assembly, I’ve been meditating a lot on what it means to be joyful. I’ve been praying and seeking the Lord and asking him for revelation. When you pray for God to reveal things through His Word, boy does it happen! Has it really penetrated the depths of your soul that Jesus was a joyful man and finds joy in you?

“Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the JOY set before him endured the cross, and sat down at the right hand the throne of God.” Hebrews 12:2

I’m here to encourage you that the Holy Spirit gives joy unspeakable. It is a glorious joy beyond all compare. You might think that this world gives you joy, but it’s a false sense of security. I know that false joy because I’ve had it. I’ve tried finding joy in alcohol, parties and affirmation from others. But nothing compares to the joy I have now. Thanks to Jesus, He gave me the choice to have a taste of this world, and then showed me how much better His joy is. This joy is glorious, unshakeable, rooted and confirmed in the Word of God.

Join me in praying that God would infiltrate our hearts with His unspeakable joy. Let’s invite His presence into our rooms and find fullness of joy. How awesome is it that we can be in the presence of our Savior and Creator? And how often do we not invite His presence into our lives?

Jesus, I love you, and I want to fall more in love with you. I thank you for your gift of joy.
